Although virtually any color can come with an energy star rating by adding cool pigmentation to the paint, Whirlwind has chosen not to add cool pigmentation to our dark colors. Cool pigmentation makes darker colors lighter making them appear faded. Whirlwind only uses the truest of colors to ensure your roof will not look faded and help to keep your energy costs down.
GREEN: Whirlwind Building Components has always been green. Our products are manufactured with 32-59% recycled material and can be recycled again at the end of its lifespan

They are able to do this on metal roofs by producing panels to long to ship right onto the the roof using one of their ARCHZILLA jobsite production trucks and on flat roofs by fabrication edge trim in pieces up to 32 ft. long. |

For instance, a large membrane panel system may be labor efficient only when the roof area is fairly wide open, or a fully adhered system using adhesive secured insulation or a ballasted assembly may be beneficial if you cannot mechanically anchor to the deck, etc. |

Simply the process of supplying a continuous supply of air through the attic space..
50% intake / 50% exhaust.
Exhaust must be at least 3 feet higher than the intake system.
Intake should be under eave.
Exhaust should be near or at peak. |

Ventilation is simply the process of supplying a continuous supply of air through the attic space. "Proper ventilation " consists of 50% intake, under the eaves, and 50% exhaust near or at the roof peak, at least" 3 feet higher than the intake system.
WHY VENTILATE?
To fight the enemies, heat and moisture, you must ventilate year round .
 Heat in unventilated attics may cause temperatures to exceed 150 degrees causing damage to shingles , roof sheathing and possibly radiate to the living area. Moisture being the #1 enemy, causes rot, mildew, mold, paint blisters, and renders insulation to be ineffective.
Proper ventilation reduces energy bills, winter ice build up and eliminates mold/mildew which can lead to major health problems. By ventilating, you are extending the life of other building components, shingles , insulation, etc. |
